Working Title Films is a British film production
company, based in London. They only produce
films, they do not distribute them. The company
was founded by Tim Bevan and Sarah
Radclyffe in 1983. It produces feature films and
several television productions. The cause for
success was the popular film called ‘Four
weddings and a funeral’ which generated an
excess of $244 worldwide and was an
unexpected success. It was released in 1994.

Warp Films is an independent UK film production
company. It is based in Sheffield & London, UK
with a further office in Melbourne, Australia. It
was established by Warp Records founding
partners Rob Mitchell & Steve Beckett. The
company produces films as well as distributing
them. One of their biggest success to date is the
movie ‘This is England’ directed by Shane
Meadows which was released in 2007 and has
received many awards.

Universal studios was found in 1912 by Carl
Laemmle, Mark Dintenfass, Charles Baumann,
Adam Kessel, Pat Powers, William Swanson,
David Horsley, and Jules Brulatour. It is the
oldest movie studio in the USA and fourth oldest
worldwide. The highest grossing film produced
by Universal was ‘ET: The Extra- Terrestrial’
which grossed $359,197,037. other popular films
by universal include ‘ Jurassic Park’, ‘Meet the
Fockers’ and ‘Jaws’.
7. Lionsgate
Lionsgate was founded in 1997 and is
headquartered in California. It is a north
American entertainment company. As of 2012, it
is the most commercially
successful independent film and television
distribution company in North America and the
seventh most profitable movie studio. The
highest grossing film produced by Lionsgate was
‘The hunger games’ followed up by ‘Twilight:
Breaking dawn part 2’. Other popular films
include ‘why did I get married?’ and ‘Saw II and
III’
