This slide show is an overview of the North Dakota Local Foods Leadership Training projects as of October 2015. The goal of this project was to provide training, guidance and support to local food leaders, as well as small mini grant to fund projects. Nearly 20 teams participated in the training and received mini grant to build capacity, education and marketing for local and regional foods. These slides showcase a handful of the projects.

Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

This is an update of the humanitarian activities of the Dominican Starfish Foundation during the past year. We have built 14 homes in the past year, taken a shipping container and done many more things in the Dominican Republic to help the people there.
One of the things we're particularly proud of is the spirit of giving that lives in each of our associates. It is that spirit that led us to create the Quill Soul Board. The Soul Board's mission is to create a sense of community and teamwork among our associates by encouraging participation in local community activities that support our 3 areas of focus:
– Breast cancer awareness, research and education
– Events/activities in local schools
– Giving back to surrounding communities
It is our goal to spotlight activities and charities in which our associates and departments are already involved, provide information on volunteer opportunities and make it easy for associates to engage in community activities. Here's what our employees have been doing:
