7. San Miguel de Allende
San Miguel de Allende is in the state of Guanajuato in
Mexico. This historic town was established in 1542.
This town has become a haven for rich residents of the
capital Mexico City.
Taxco
Taxco is
found in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It has a long
association with silver, both the mining of the metal and
the crafting of the metal into jewelry and silverware

8. Palenque
Palenque used to be a Mayan city state located in
southern Mexico. This Mayan city was established
in the 7th century. Palenque contains a number of
the finest sculpture, architecture, sculpture, and bas-
relief carvings produced during the Mayan period
Uxmal
Uxmal, a city belonging to the Mayan civilization
in the Mexican state of Yucatan . When visiting the
Uxmal you get an idea of how the entire ceremonial
center looked like in days past.
Mitla
This town is in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. The
town of San Pablo Villa de Mitla has a population
of just almost 8,000. The people in Mitla speak a
Zapotec language. Mitla also houses a small
museum full of ancient artifacts.

9. Moumento a la Independena
150-foot-tall structure located at the de la Reforma town
square in downtown Mexico City was dubbed "El Angel" .
Built to commemorate the centennial of Mexico's War of
Independence, the monument features four bronze statues
that are used as symbols peace, law, war and justice
Chapultepec Castle
Built during the 14th century when the king of Texcoco
demanded the construction of a huge palace, the landmark
known as Chapultepec Castle ,this castle sits 7,268 feet
above sea level and contains a staircase festooned with
marble lions, a dining room area outfitted with a 40-foot-
long dining table
The Temple of Kukulca
The Kukulcan pyramid is located in the peninsula of
Yucatan. This monument stands a little over 82 feet in total
height and was built in approximately 800 a.d. This
pyramid contains nine main platforms, which some
archeologists believe represent the 18 months of the Mayan
calendar; other scientists, however, question this belief

local climate and geography differences .

A taco is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or
rolled around a
filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings
, including beef,chicken,seafood, vegetables and cheese
Tortillas are a staple of Mexican cuisine , and accompany nearly every meal. The most
delicious tortillas are made by hand and cooked on a clay griddle , called a comal .

• Mexico City hosted the XIX Olympic Gamesin 1968, making it the first Latin
American city to do so. The country has also hosted the FIFA WORLD CUP
twice, in 1970and1986.
