- Prior studies have shown that religiosity is the dominant factor influencing attitudes toward physician-assisted suicide (PAS). Physicians' religiosity can affect end-of-life care and conflict with patient/family preferences. - Religious individuals and those in religious contexts are more opposed to PAS, while Protestants and those in Protestant countries have more favorable views than Catholics/those in Catholic countries. Higher religiosity is associated with less pro-PAS attitudes. - The study will examine the relationships between attitudes toward PAS and three independent variables: age, religiousness, and political orientation. It hypothesizes that each variable will be significantly related to PAS views.
