Frog undergoes a complex metamorphosis from egg to tadpole to baby frog to adult. The frog life cycle begins with the mother frog laying several eggs in water. Not all eggs will hatch due to internal factors from the parents or external threats in the environment. The eggs that do hatch become tadpoles, which breathe through gills and eat plants. Over time, tadpoles grow legs and lungs and transform into baby frogs that can leap. After 2-4 years, baby frogs mature into adult frogs that eat insects and lay eggs, continuing the cycle.
