This document discusses a case study for a proposed TelePresence MarketPlace (TPMP) service as Cisco's next $10 billion opportunity. The TPMP would be an online portal that allows users to schedule and purchase additional TelePresence services. It presents challenges around existing partners, new sales models, and non-traditional buying centers. The document outlines the global architecture, revenue models from advertising and transaction fees, and organizational models needed. It recommends further evaluating the technical requirements, commercial models, and gaining executive sponsorship to realize the significant revenue potential of the TPMP service.

The document describes experiments conducted to determine if a brown, circular mass is a living thing. It tests the mass for several characteristics of living things: growth over time, consumption of sugar as an energy source, production of carbon dioxide, and cellular structure under a microscope. The experiments show the mass grows tails after two days in different environments, consumes sugar as indicated by weight changes, produces carbon dioxide turning a liquid yellow, and has rectangular cell structures. Based on exhibiting these characteristics of living things, the document concludes the brown mass is alive.

Financial accounting focuses on providing economic information to external decision makers through financial statements. The three main financial statements are the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows. The balance sheet provides a snapshot of a company's financial position on a given day by listing assets, liabilities, and owners' equity. It ensures the accounting equation "Assets = Liabilities + Owners' Equity" remains balanced. The income statement and statement of cash flows provide information about a company's performance over a given period.

How do you choose between small, student-centric, l colleges vs. large, brainy, research-oriented universities closely associated with science, technology, engineering and math. Higher education is in flux, and the best universities in Jaipur or even those considered top universities in Jaipur seem to have a winning formula of high student satisfaction and graduation rates and alumni career success. Between most of the elite colleges or what we consider the better ones, they are neck-and-neck in the ranking race.
Leavitt information literacy in the workplaceleavitt9
This document summarizes a presentation about information literacy in the workplace. It discusses how the skills taught in information literacy instruction may not fully align with the skills needed by employers. Recent studies show that many high school and college graduates lack skills in areas like critical thinking, collaboration, and accessing and analyzing information. The presentation describes a library course that aimed to help students improve these skills through research assignments, tutorials, and feedback. Students showed improved skills, but more work is still needed to fully meet employer expectations. Future directions may include online tutorials, evolving teaching methods, and increased collaboration with faculty and employers.
Using LinkedIn to Deepen Relationships Throughout the Entire Student LifecycleLinkedIn
The document discusses trends in higher education and how marketers can influence student decisions. Some key points:
- Peer groups and professional networks have significant influence on student decisions.
- Millennials are more driven by salary and skills development, while Gen X values passion for learning and need to upskill.
- Prospects seek different types of content at each stage of their decision journey, from career advice early on to alumni profiles and rankings later.
- Most prospects only seriously consider 3 schools, so it is important for marketers to get their school on prospective students' shortlists.
Solving Quiet Dilemmas in California - Ken Grayccpc
By the 10th grade, students will have participated in career exploration activities to identify potential career pathways. In 11th and 12th grades, students will engage in activities to verify their choices and develop postsecondary plans. While parents may be ambivalent about career guidance, teens prefer hands-on activities like job shadowing and internships to explore options. Promoting career pathways can help more students graduate and pursue further education or careers aligned with labor market needs.
The document discusses challenges in college hiring and recruiting top graduates. It identifies three main challenges: 1) ensuring students graduate with skills for the workplace, 2) giving graduates tools to stand out in competitive job markets, and 3) helping employers identify candidates with needed skills from an increasingly diverse pool of students and institutions. It also discusses the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) as a tool that can help address these challenges by assessing students' problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
1) The document discusses changing student and employer attitudes towards work placements, including factors that affect student engagement, employer expectations, and student choice of placement field.
2) It highlights data showing that students who complete placements are more likely to obtain graduate-level jobs and less likely to be unemployed after graduation. However, fewer than half of eligible students complete placements.
3) The document seeks to examine key issues around student motivation for placements, skills employers desire in placement students, and trends in common placement fields chosen by different academic disciplines.
Can Career Search Education Revitalize Higher Ed?Hank Boyer
The document discusses how career search education can revitalize higher education. It argues that while students spend significant time choosing a college, they receive little education on conducting an effective job search. Data shows graduates lack job search skills and unemployment remains high. The solution proposed is requiring career search education courses for all students before graduating and offering these courses to alumni and the community as an elective. This approach could boost enrollment, career outcomes for graduates, revenue, and alumni engagement while increasing the perceived value of the degree.
The document summarizes career preparation services available at Western Carolina University. It discusses a study that found gaps between how prepared for employment recent college graduates feel versus how prepared employers feel they are. It then analyzes how WCU's institutional learning outcomes align with the skills employers say are important. The outcomes focus on skills like critical thinking, problem solving, communication and ethics. WCU provides experiences like internships, externships and partnerships with career services to help students develop these skills and improve their career preparation.
AGR CONFERENCE 2013 Time to put graduate selection and testing to the testEmmaAGR
This document discusses issues with current graduate selection practices. It notes that targeting top universities, using UCAS tariff points and degree classifications as filters, and relying on online tests can exclude many qualified candidates and produce outcomes that lack diversity and inclusion. Alternative approaches are proposed that consider a wider range of skills and experiences rather than narrow academic factors.
This document summarizes a presentation on digital disruption in higher education. It begins with the presenter's background and experience with online learning. It then discusses problems with the current system like rising costs, student debt, and poor learning outcomes. New online models are disrupting higher education by offering lower costs, greater flexibility and accessibility through e-learning platforms. Major players in this disruption include MOOCs (massive open online courses), new online universities, and incumbent universities increasing their online offerings. The presentation covers these changes and debates their impacts on the future of the traditional university model.
This document summarizes key findings from the 2008 TeensTALK survey of 800 college-bound high school students conducted by Stamats, a higher education marketing firm. The survey examined students' perspectives on factors influencing their college selection process such as academic quality, fit, success after college, and preferred communication methods. Key findings include that students prioritize career outcomes, hands-on learning, and faculty passion when evaluating academic quality. Campus visits, meeting students, and classrooms are most important for determining fit. Graduation rates and job placement are top predictors of success after college. Email and mail are preferred forms of contact early in the process, while phone and email are preferred later on.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
