1. How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation of your media product?.

2. Construction. During the construction of our production several media technologies were used in order to achieved maximum effectiveness in our productions. The apple software of ‘final cut’ was used in the editing and production of all practise and final videos. From developed usage of final cut we have been able to significantly improve the effectiveness of the editing in our productions and use certain editing effects/transitions to create certain desired effects. This software was used on the Apple computers we has access too. The shot transition to the right was a common tool used in our first public broadcast. These transitions and other effects have enabled for extra detail in conveying our message to our targets audiences and also applied necessary emphasis on certain aspects.

3. Final Cut – Continued. We use the tool on final cut known as a video generator to implement text into the video. Video Generators -> Boris -> Title 3D This text allowed for further detail in the advert and provided a more clear and emphasised message to our target audience. Sound levels – On final cut alongside editing our video, we also used the software to . adjust sound levels in order to create the right . . tone & atmospheric feel to the production.

4. Radio Edit Construction. Alongside using the software of ‘final cut’ we also used the hardware of a sound recorder in order for us to be able to successfully create our second ancillary text. We used the mp3 sound recorder and from this transferred the sound over to final cut, this enabled us to splice together files and sync accordingly in able to overlap sounds and effects. This ultimately leading to the completion of our ‘Drink Responsibly’ ancillary.

5. How hardware was used in construction. We used tripodsupportedcamera to film and capture all of our production. We used wheels on the tripod in order to create the effect of kinetic camera work. We used lightinglamps in order to create the desired affect for our productions and also in order to emphasise key moments in our adverts. We used a smoke machine in the ‘use a condom ’ public broadcast to create the same mis en scene of that of a club. Apple Computer in order to use the software final cut pro.

6. Research Our research came from a couple of sources: The Internet – The internet allowed us to research our public broadcasts and gain necessary facts needed to implement into our creations. For instance our radio edit facts was obtained from NHS statistics. YouTube – The internet video sharing site enabled us to explore the realm of advertising and specifically look into previous public awareness adverts in our fields to gain necessary inspirations to create and develop our own productions.

7. Planning BlogSpot/Blogger – This online media source enabled us to keep track and show our planning of our production. It allowed us to show a continuous build up in our research & planning all the way up to our final production. This showing a clear and continuous build up of the production over time. Through several different blogs were able to create hyperlinks going to each area/topic of our production. This creating a more efficient and effective way of navigating our blog. Also proving more aesthetically pleasing. - Slide Share: Enabled us to convert and embed slideshows to our blog, these slideshows consisting of health and safety requirements and Inspirations from research. YouTube/Internet – Alike in our research the media sharing site YouTube and the internet itself enabled us to get the necessary foundations to begin to plan our own ideas.

8. Evaluation. Hardware – Use of camera and lighting in order to film our documentary type evaluation of final productions. Software – Final cut in order to edit all evaluations. Blogger – Online blog allows us to view our final productions and evaluate from that & furthermore allows a platform for our evaluation to be stored on. Vimeo – Online video sharing side allowing us to upload our productions and line them onto our blog
