The student created a magazine cover for practice. They realized main images are typically in front of the text on magazine covers. They had to crop the original photo and find a logo online to include on their cover. Placing the logo behind the image and ensuring it was not pixelated was difficult. The student wants to create an effective cover and asks for help if needed.

2. When creating this practice cover. I
realized one of the convention was
how empire always had the main

of the red pops out. This meant I had
to crop around the original photo and
then get the logo off the internet to
put on my cover. This was a difficult
then to do as I had to make sure I
didn’t cut too much around the head.
When making my magazine cover I
need to make sure that that the logo
isn't pixelated and is behind the
image. I want to make sure that if I
need extra help I ask for help or look
at videos as I want to create an
effective magazine.

want.
A tool that helped me a lot when creating my cover was
when putting an effect on the image to make the cover
looker better. This is allowed me to play around with the
image and create a magazine cover that differs from
different empire magazines. However this can be a problem
as empire magazine don’t have this kind of effect and we
don’t want to change the look of the magazine too much
because won't recognize it. So this is something we need to
take into account. Putting it on a white background makes it
stand out and engages the audience. We want the image to
tell we story but not give too much away.
