attracts a potential customers attention. I was
able to see what were some of the most
common features on some of the most
popular music magazines of today.

As I now knew what many other magazines
included in their own products to attract
the attention of others; I had confidence
in what I was going to create for my main
task.

5. After finding how I would attract my audience, I then had to think about
where I would attract my audience, as it is very important to not only
attract an audience, but to attract the right type of audience.
After doing my subject matter research I realised that one of the most
important places to sell my magazine would be where my chosen music
genre was being played, this being concert venues. I therefore had to
consider what type of venue, whether I wanted a huge, world wide know
venue that holds tens of thousands, such as the O2, or a much smaller
venue that has a focus on hosting rock/alternative bands.
I came to the decision that a much smaller venue would be more suitable to
the type of audience I was trying to attract, and therefore instead of the
O2 I would sell my media product at the O2 academy venues across the
UK. This way I would attract the exact target market I planned to at the
very start of my project.
