 in his book 'dancing in the distraction factory'
AndrewGodwin outlines 6 main features that
are typical of a music video
 for example a rap artist will either be
surrounded or followed by a life of crime and
a 'gangster' facade or more recently rappers
have conveyed a life of little care and an
almost 'doss' lifestyle
 for example in earl sweatshirts
video whoa shows the life of little
care image they aim to present
with their outfits and grungy style
of video and in the video for Rick
Ross hustling he is attempting to
look like a gangster with chains on
a baggy t-shirt and a flashy car in
the back ground however this
changes with culture as in the
video for rascals fire blaze their
gangster look is different as
they're all hooded or wearing
similar outfits to look gangster the
image is differently put across.
 for example inAston martin music by Rick
Ross images of Aston Martins appear
frequently, to enhance the Aston Martin's
importance in the song
 for example in 'I'm a boss' meek mill is trying
to show that he is as important as the song
portrays him to be
 for example in N*E*R*D everyone nose
PharrellWilliams and the group appear
wearing their iconic Billionaires Boy Club
brand
 for example Beyonce in killing me softly; it's
deliberate that she isn't wearing much and
looking out the screen to us
 for example Pharrel- despicable me is made
for the kids film despicable me and the entire
music video is comprised of the film
