2. MEDIA MANAGEMENT
Media management is a business administration discipline that identifies
and describes strategic and operational phenomena and problems in the
leadership of media enterprises.
Media management is an interdisciplinary research area devoted to the
study of how media organizations use scarce resources to meet the needs
and wants of a given society. In other words, it is interested in the effective
management of media outlets. It performs functions such as planning,
organizing, staffing, directing, controlling, and coordination the
content such as images, videos, audio files, and other multimedia content.
This process is crucial for individuals and organizations that deal with a
large volume of media files, such as media companies, marketing agencies,
content creators, and others. Effective media management helps
streamline workflows, ensure easy access to assets, and maintain a well-
organized digital library.

will guide your further course of action.

• Organizing is the management function that
follows after planning, it involves the
assignment of tasks, the grouping of tasks
into departments, and the assignment of
authority with adequate responsibility and
allocation of resources across the
organization to achieve common goals.

action.

assessing and modifying
performance to ensure that the
company's objectives and plans for
achieving them are met.
• Basically, controlling makes sure that
the activities that are already
planned are accomplished or not.

• Coordination is the function of management
which ensures that different departments
and groups work in sync. Therefore, there is
unity of action among the employees,
groups, and departments. It also brings
harmony in carrying out the different tasks
and activities to achieve the organization's
objectives efficiently.
• It involves ensuring that everyone is on the
same page, working towards the same
objectives, and using the same standards
and procedures.
• Coordination plays a critical role in achieving
business success. It promotes synergy,
collaboration, and teamwork, which
ultimately lead to higher productivity and
efficiency.
