Media evaluation
Our media product uses horror conventions such as makeup, asynchronous sound, and an isolated setting to create psychological tension. The film puts the main character through psychological torture as he is forced to accept that his wife never existed and the woman he believes is his real wife is actually someone else. The film represents the social group of married couples and how one spouse dealing with losing the other. A streaming service like Netflix would be suited to distribute our psychological horror film. The intended audience is fans of the psychological horror genre.

- 2. In what waysdoes your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products ? Our product uses the forms and conventions of horror quite well in some scene. One noticeable scene is the scene with the reveal of the victim with special make-up and the asynchronous sound that leads the actor towards the victim i.e. “help me” noise from the store room.
- 3. We have alsoused generic conventions such as isolated setting which is the store room where the victim was found. Our horror film has made quite a good use of point of view shots and our use of conventions indicate that our sub-genre of horror is psychological,as there is a lot of psychological torture to the husband for losing his wife and being forced to digest the fact that she never existed and the fake one is actually his real wife.
