• My magazine is for the hip-hop genre, which My magazine is about the hip-hop genre that
involves the race of blacks, black culture consists of hip-hop artists that are black African
mostly. The African Americans started it in
the 1970’s. Back then it was all about the Americans whether its females or male artists.
music you made with instruments and the Such as Beyonce, Kanye West , Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj,
lyrics you made. However since then hip-hop Lil Kim. These are hip-hop idols that may influence
has changed and now is more about the other children who interested in hip-hop. The genre
fashion and the style of hip-hop. It mostly
attracts young black African males . But of hip-hop is a very young and exciting, enthusiastic
recently more females have been involved. people who have meaning to there lyrics.
The females are also black African
  Americans.
• The gender of the hip-hop culture mostly attracts the males of the young black African
Americans. Aged from 12-19. This music along with its associated hip-hop culture was developed
as a source of entertainment for poor and working-class black and Latino youth in New York
City. The society groups that are attracted to this kind of hip-hop music are the afro-Carabbein
  and black African Americans.
• My target audience is for mainly young black males and females. Teenagers aged between 16-19
years. However having said that I think that people out of group could buy the magazine such as
working class people who are in there early 20’s or even older then that. If they are interested
in the hip-hop genre that is. This magazine could also help younger children to have belief and
hope in what they want to achieve in life. This is through Jack Loach’s story.
• It is easily accessible for working class people my magazine is only £2:00 I received this
  information from my questionnaire.
The images I have used for my magazine. Are ones that represent the hip-hop culture. Such as the clothing of the
artists. This is something i carefully thought about. I made sure that they wore clothes that apply to the hip-hop
genre such as caps/hats and a hoody. This is known as being the stereotypical male or female of the hip-hop genre.
This then attracts the my target audience and it is easier to sell my magazine to the people who are similar to the
artists.

I have mainly used black and red colours as well as white. Which is not much variety but I think these colours
are very effective. This is because the hip-hop genre is not a very much loud and ‘rock’ type. Plus I wanted to
keep the consistency of the colours throughout my magazine. This is so the magazine looks professional and
more realistic. Also I have researched hip-hop magazines and they mostly use black and red in there magazines.
So I have followed this type of convention.
