- In the ever so popular Proactiv face wash commercial, celebrities such as Julianne Hough and Adam Levine are paid thousands of dollars to promote this acne care system because consumers are drawn to these people. In the commercials, their skin looks flawless from the combination of lighting and editing. Someone who is media literate will notice these factors, may have experience with the product or may have information from a dermatologist who does not suggest this product. The combination of knowledge, experience, and beliefs will lead you to not purchase this product because you know it is not good for you. Make sense?
- We will be talking about different sources of media that in turn effect body image. Again we felt it was important to reach out to your age group because body image is developing significantly at this age. We want you to be aware of how media effects how you view your body along with the opposite sex.
- There are different ways that media effects us as statedโฆ one of the ways is body image. Ask what they think body image is, then click next to show what we have written. Next, do you believe the media exposes body image positively or negatively?
