This document defines and provides examples of different types of camera shots used in film including: high angle shots which make subjects look less powerful; low angle shots which make subjects look more powerful; extreme long shots which establish settings; long shots which show a subject from head to toe; and various mid-range shots like medium shots, close-ups, and point-of-view shots. Examples are given from movies like The Dark Knight, The Hunger Games, and Pulp Fiction to illustrate different shots.
