Extreme close up shot
This shot is an extreme
close up and shows the
fear on the main
character's face.
We can see a fill effect
used as the camera light
shines on the main
character face.
We can see the fear on the

tears and shocked
expression.
The background also adds to
the effect of fear as there is no
added lighting. The only light is
on her adding to the mystery of
what’s in the dark?

Big Close up shot
The shot shows a close up
of a crazy serial killer.
A big close up
shot is a standard
shot that shows
detail of a
foreground
subject filling the
entirety of the
screen.
This type of shot works in this scene as the
camera focused on Jack and is insane
expression, we can tell that the character
from the beginning of the movie is no longer
this one.
What also makes
this shot work is
that we cannot
see the rest of his
body only his
face and were
already terrified
just by seeing his
face making him
scarier if he
enters the room.

4. Movie: Avengers
This is a close up shot of
the character Tony Stark in

wearing his suit.
Close Up shot
A close up shot
shows detail
close up during a
scene.
A close up shot is
a tightly fitted
frame of a
person or object.
This shot works
in this settling as
during this scene
we are watching
gate character
Tony Stark in the
headset of his
Iron Man suit
analysing data.

5. Medium Close-up Shot
This shot is a Medium close
up of the character giving
another character
important information.
The difference between
this type of shot and a
close up is that we can see
2 characters in the shot.
A medium close
up shot shows a
standard shot
size which shows
a foreground
subject
dominating but
not filling the
screen.

6. Movie: Pulp Fiction
Medium Shot
This is a medium shot; this
scene concentrates on the
on the two main characters
with and we can see from
this shot that they are not
to be messed with.
Another good point of this
scene is that they are
pointing their guns at the
camera, so the audience
don’t know the danger
facing them.
In this scene we
can see some
lighting on the
left side of the
scene and on the
top highlighting
the two main
characters.
This can also be counted as
a two shot as in the shot
two characters are present
in frame

7. Movie: The Dark Knight Medium Long Shot
This is a medium shot; the
purpose of using this type
of shot in this scene shows
the full character in all of
his terror.
A mid shot is
when it shows
top half of
people but not
close up.
In a movie a
medium shot is a
camera angle
shot from a
medium
distance.
This shot works for this scene as in the
background of have goons and a destroyed
truck bu the camera is focused on the Joker,
and we can see how much of a threat and
meaning character he is.

8. Long Shot

In this long shot
we can see the
main character
Thor on a
battlefield.
A long shot is
when the setting
is shown as well
as the character
A Long Shot is a
shot that
typically shows
the entire object
or human figure
and is usually
surrounding
intended to place
it in some
relation to its
surroundings

9. Very Long Shot
Movie: The Shawshank Redemption
This Very Long
shot is so
important as it
shows years of
containment and
freedom for the
character in
seconds
In this shot we
can see the
character from a
crane shot angle
kneeling on the
floor with his
hands out
This shot is very similar to a long shot in that
its places a character in relation to
surrounding but the difference is that there is
change in the angle and its at a further
distance

Two Shot
A Two shot is
when is a shot
that shows two
people in a scene
In this scene we
can see both
main characters
with surprised
looks on their
faces
In a two shot the
characters do not
always have to
be next to each
other, there are
many other two
shot examples
that have one
subject in the
foreground and
one in the
background

11. Movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Over the shoulder shot
An over shoulder
shot is where the
camera is placed
on the shoulder
of the second
character in shot
but concentrated
on the first
In this scene we
can see that the
camera is placed

we are
concentrated on
the character

confronting him.
There is a slight
effect of cameo
lighting used. It
blended into the
sunlight but is
