Abbreviating an organisation's name in a citation
Can I abbreviate a well-known organisation's name in a
citation?
Yes. An organisation's name may serve as a group
author in a citation. As for other abbreviations, write the
name in full the first time followed by the abbreviation in
parentheses.
Examples
If the group name first appears in a narrative citation,
include the abbreviation before the year in parentheses,
separated with a comma.
