MRP means Materials Requirement Planning. MRP is a time-phased computer program which translates finished product into raw materials , parts or sub-assemblies and work backward by the lead time to give the information from which time you have to start your work to finish the final product.
There are many software to construct MRP. Basically it is constructed by the companies for their own reason.
But the MRP system that we have developed in Microsoft Excel by using VBA. VBA means visual basic for application. It is programming system in excel. There are 9 products that we have developed for constructing MRP. It can be customized for other product by following the program. The person who has simple knowledge in excel can use it easily. It detects error when you will input invalid data. So, it is user-friendly.

1. The maximum delivery week no is 100.
2. Only two ordering techniques have been developed.
3. In master production schedule, only one data can be given at a time.

Project Details
1. “Variable Compression Ratio Test Rig for Two Stroke SI Engine”
(An experiment that shows how to Increase the efficiency of an engine based on VCR Technology)
Tool Used: CATIA v5
Designed adjustable cylinder head to vary the compression ratio of a two stroke SI engine to
conduct load test at different compression ratio and the effect of varying compression ratios on
various engine performance parameter are plotted and studied and also generated power from the
exhaust gas pressure by using impulse turbine installed just after the exhaust.
The project is aimed at the fabrication of experimental setup for our Energy Conversion
Laboratory.
