The Digital Safari Academy at Mt. Diablo High School is a multimedia career academy for 164 students in grades 10-12. It started in 1996 with government grants and focuses on teaching multimedia skills through projects that meet academic standards in English, history, math, economics and government. Students learn tools like video production, design and programming by applying them to complete schoolwork. The program prepares students for careers in fields like media, advertising and game development through career exploration visits, college visits, and developing internship opportunities for students at local companies.
