About the exhibition
Dairy & Meat 2014, the 12th edition of the exhibition, will be held in a new formatwhich presents
the full agro-industrial production cycleof the dairy and meat industry – showcasing equipment
and technology for livestock farming and processing.
Solutions for use across the whole agro-industrial chain will be presented at the exhibition,
from livestock and poultry reproduction, rearing and feeding to processing
and packaging of the finished product.
This new format allows visitors– from small-scale farmers and processing companies to large
agricultural holdings – to resolve complex issues in supply, equipping and modernisation.

5. Main events
Dairy and Meat Industry
The programme of the Meat Forum expanded
considerably in 2013 – events on poultry farming,
pig farming and cattle farming for meat were all
organised for livestock sector representatives for
the first time. The Animal Husbandry and Breeding
Department of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture
and the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for
Breeding Science held a range of meetings on pig
farming, sheep farming, and cattle farming for meat.

unions and associations, as well as directors
and specialists from leading Russian institutes
and company directors.

National conference:
Opportunities for the meat and dairy business
in a time of global change
This conference featured participation from Vladimir Fisinin, First Vice-President
of the Russian Agricultural Academy and Head of the Russian Poultry Union;
Yuri Kovalev, General Director of the National Pig Farming Union; Denis Cherkesov,
General Director of the National Union of Beef Producers; Alexander Nikitin,
Vice-President of “Miratorg”; Alexander Polyak, Deputy Chairman of the Board of PiR;
and Maria Klimova, Deputy Director of the Main Food Directorate of the Ministry
of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.
The conference was moderated by Vladimir Labinov.
Around 150 industry professionals took part in the event.
National conference:
Current issues in milk production and the situation in
the dairy market
This conference featured participation from: Alexander Petrikov, State Secretary
and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Moderated by Vladimir
Labinov, Director of the Animal Husbandry and Breeding Department of the Russian
Ministry of Agriculture.
Dairy processors and producers showed keen interest in the event,
which brought together over 300 participants.
6. In 2013, the Animal Husbandry
and Breeding Department of the Russian Ministry
of Agriculture organised a range of events
on dairy farming.
The 5th edition of the Cheese Salon took place in 2013,
accompanied for the first time by a discussion club for
Russian cheesemakers. The club featured participation
from Vladimir Labinov, Director of the Animal Husbandry
and Breeding Department of the Russian Ministry
of Agriculture, and Nadezhda Kotkovets, Director
of the Department of Agro-Industrial Policy of
the Eurasian Economic Commission.
