In Africa there are approximately 500 million children, but 120,000 have been taken from their homes and forced to become child soldiers, undergoing brainwashing and training to be ruthless killers. These children are often encouraged to do drugs to make them less fearful in battle. Once their horrific training is complete, they are deployed to fight in battles. However, organizations like Invisible Children and Amnesty International work to rehabilitate child soldiers and prevent further atrocities, giving hope for the future. As concerned Americans, we have a moral duty to help through donations.
