To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to inform you of my interest in the current open position. With my work ethic,
personality and experience, I believe that I would be a great addition to your team.
My strong work ethic began at a very young age, when I started a lawn care service in my
neighborhood at age 12. I started my first official job at age 15, as a lifeguard for Carolina Pool
Management. After my first year as an employee I was promoted to assistant manager and then I
was promoted to manager after my second year. At 17 years old I started working for Clementi
properties and was quickly given management responsibilities and was promoted to site
supervisor. While working my way to earn a Bachelor’s Degree at the College of Charleston, my
talent for dedication and hard work was noticed and I was promoted from being a server to
becoming the Catering Coordinator for a multi-million dollar restaurant, Smoky Oak Taproom,
located in Charleston, SC. After my success in boosting the catering operations by 130% my first
year and 150% my second year I was asked to join the management team.
I made a career change in 2014 where I left the food and beverage industry and was hired
directly by the Chief Managing Partner of New York Life. I received one on one training from
the CMP and due to my fast learning and hard work I mastered the SLIRP presentation and was
asked to teach and train new hires on the presentation.
After four months with New York Life, the general manager of Smoky Oak Taproom contacted
me and asked me to take over the business operations of a failing restaurant that he recently
bought into, Cha Cha's Mexican Grill. I accepted his offer and within three months, through hard
work, and dedication I turned the failing business around and they are now seeing profits again,
for the first time in over a year.
As an employee of your company, I would bring my hard work and dedication to your business
and do everything that I can to become an asset to the everyday operations. Attached is my
resume. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your consideration; I look
forward to presenting my qualifications in person.
