Dear Judges:
My name is Alyson Bandemer and I am delighted to be presenting my senior project to
you this evening. I have put much thought into my future and what college will bring me
to where I want to be. I have been torn between two different fields when it comes to my
career choice: psychology and business. Kennesaw State University will offer me
whichever career I decide to major in, and that is where I will be attending in August.
My product is a book of paperwork I have collected over the past few weeks representing
what I’ve been doing since this time last year. It relates to my research paper because in
my paper I talked about how businesses has evolved over the years and my product
proves how much better franchises are run today as opposed to several years ago.
Obstacles that I have encountered with this product consist of finding information that is
not confidential. My project facilitator discussed with me about using a blank document
and filling out pretend information.
Ever since I began working at McDonald’s, I have become fascinated with the way that
business works and how to keep a franchise restaurant successful. It opened my eyes to a
whole new world outside of healthcare, my supposed passion. My process in practicing
activities that my store manager handles has shown me the responsibility and precision it
takes to run a business. I have learned that being in charge is a major passion of mine,
and that people respect me as a leader.
I didn’t entirely enjoy senior project as a whole because it was portrayed as a stressful,
complicated process. However, as I went through, I realized very much about my career
choice. Now I know that business is a career choice that I would like to seriously look
into when I get to college.
