The document discusses how to add fractions with the same or unlike denominators by regrouping. It explains that adding fractions with the same denominators involves adding the whole numbers and fractions separately and then simplifying. Adding fractions with unlike denominators requires finding the least common denominator, converting the fractions so they share the LCD, adding the whole numbers and converted fractions, and then simplifying the final fraction. Examples are provided to illustrate the steps for adding mixed fractions with like and unlike denominators through regrouping.
Ppt addition of dissimilar fractions (loids)besaloida
This document provides instructions on how to add dissimilar fractions. It begins by listing examples of finding the least common denominator of sets of fractions. It then works through an example problem of adding 1/2 kg of lanzones and 1/4 kg of grapes. The key steps are to first find the least common denominator to make the fractions similar, then add the numerators and keep the same denominator. Finally, it lists three practice problems for the student to solve.

Dividing Whole Numbers by Decimals up to 2 Decimal Places and.pptMarkJamesSagaral2
Here are the steps to solve the problems:
1) 12.5 m ÷ 2 m = 6.25 pieces = 6 pieces
2) 84.8 m ÷ 3 m = 28.26 pieces = 28 pieces
So the number of pieces for problem 1 is 6 and for problem 2 is 28.

This document provides a lesson plan on solving linear equations and inequalities in one variable algebraically. It begins with reviewing translating between verbal and mathematical phrases and evaluating expressions. The main focus is on introducing and applying the properties of equality, including reflexive, symmetric, transitive, and substitution properties, to solve equations algebraically. Word problems involving equations in one variable are also discussed. The objectives are to identify and apply the properties of equality to find solutions to equations and solve word problems involving one variable equations.
This document provides divisibility rules for numbers that are divisible by 3, 6, and 9 without actual division. It gives examples of applying these rules such as determining if 45 is divisible by 9 by adding the digits 4 + 5 to get 9, which is divisible by 9. Students then participate in an activity where they list numbers using the digits 1, 3, 5, and 9 that are divisible by 3, 6, and 9 based on the rules. Their answers are then evaluated using checks under the correct columns to indicate which numbers follow the divisibility rules.
This document provides an explanation of the order of operations when solving mathematical expressions. It states that multiplication and division should be performed before addition and subtraction, from left to right if these operations are at the same level of precedence. It provides examples of solving expressions step-by-step using the proper order of operations. Finally, it gives practice problems for the reader to solve.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
Proper; Improper & Mixed Number FractionsLorenKnights
This document discusses different types of fractions:
- Proper fractions have a numerator less than the denominator (e.g. 1/4).
- Improper fractions have a numerator greater than or equal to the denominator (e.g. 5/3).
- Mixed numbers are a combination of a whole number and a proper fraction (e.g. 2 1/4).
The document provides examples of converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers by dividing the numerator by the denominator to get the whole number part and remainder.
This document discusses different units of measuring time including analogue and digital clocks, hours, minutes, seconds, days, weeks, months and years. It provides examples of converting between different units of time such as converting minutes to hours, days to weeks, months to years, and vice versa.
Subtraction without and with regrouping 3 4 digit numbersYolanda N. Bautista
Sean sold 342 boxes of cupcakes last week and 557 boxes this week. To find the increase in sales, we subtract last week's amount from this week's, giving 557 - 342 = 215. Another method is to write the numbers as 4986 - 2354 = 2632 to find the difference between them by arranging the digits in columns and subtracting. Subtraction allows regrouping of digits when the number in the top row is less than the number below it in a column.

This document provides instructions for reading an electric meter with dials. It explains that the dials should be read from right to left and the lowest number recorded if the pointer is between two numbers. It also notes that if the pointer is on a number to look at the dial to the right to determine if the recorded number is higher or lower. Finally, it indicates that to calculate electric usage the numbers from each dial should be read from left to right and the current reading should be subtracted from the previous reading.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
