Machupicchu

The Maya flourished from 300-900 AD, developing advanced mathematics and astronomy. The Aztec empire expanded through conquest in the 1400s and had a capital at Tenochtitlan home to over 5 million people, though they engaged in human sacrifice. Machu Picchu the lost city
Machu Picchu is an ancient Inca citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru at 7,970 feet above sea level. It was built in the 15th century but abandoned a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest. The site contains temples, warehouses, and over 600 terraced agricultural fields and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. It is considered an architectural and constructional marvel due to its precision stonework and integration with the surrounding landscape.
