The document describes Parsec's Phone Keypad Lock application, which prevents contact center agents from manually dialing phone numbers from their Cisco IP phones or changing phone settings. The application ensures all outbound calls are initiated through the agents' desktop applications like Cisco Finesse. It works with Cisco CallManager and is compatible with Cisco IP phone models 7940/42/60/61/21/41/51/61/71 as long as they support Cisco JTAPI. The application server requires an Intel Xeon Quad Core processor with 8GB RAM running Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit.

Contact Center users as on date dial out/call customers from their computers via a desktop
based application like Cisco Finesse Agent / CAD (Cisco Agent Desktop) application or any
other 3rd party application.
The outbound call initiated from the desktop based application (using TAPI/JTAPI based
dialing) is dialed out through the agent’s desk Cisco IP Phone.
As per organizational process the requirement is that agents should be able to dial out numbers
initiated only from the desktop based application.
The agent should not be able to dial out any phone number (internal/external) manually using
the keypad of the Cisco IP Phone.
This will prevent any misuse of the phone like making personal calls, as calls dialed out
directly using the phone will not reflect in the daily dialed out calls report.
Application will also prevent users from pressing phone speaker & headset mode which
move them to talk state from ready mode to avoid inbound calls.
