Everyone wants better days in their marriage, but some question if those days will ever come. The truth is the hard times help make your marriage better.
Take a look at how to make it through the hard times.
Marriage is meant to showcase God's grace through truth, love, and forgiveness between spouses. When spouses experience God's grace for themselves - his forgiveness and acceptance despite their flaws - they can in turn extend that grace to their partner through honest yet compassionate communication, affirmation, and freely forgiving offenses. This gospel-shaped approach enables spouses to bear with one another's weaknesses through patience and endure disagreements by overlooking minor irritations, as God overlooks their own faults.
Marriage 1: Staying Married != Staying In LoveTimothy Chan
The document discusses the biblical view of marriage compared to modern cultural views. It summarizes that marriage is God's invention from the beginning, it is meant to be a temporary institution on Earth to display the gospel through representing Christ's love for the church, and its purpose is not just staying in love but keeping one's covenant with their spouse.
This document discusses the topic of singleness from a Christian perspective. It provides statistics showing declining marriage rates and church attendance among singles. The document discusses how singleness can be viewed as a gift based on biblical passages. Singles are called to use their gift to build up others, and can have an important role as spiritual parents. A healthy church community should show hospitality to both married and single members and not marginalize singles. Relationships in the church should be oriented around Christ rather than marital status.
1. The document discusses principles for marriage relationships based on 1 Corinthians 7:1-10. It emphasizes that marriage is good, meant to be monogamous, and heterosexual.
2. Key principles for marriage discussed are mutual satisfaction between partners, mutual submission to one another, and mutual service to one another.
3. Marriage is meant to be a permanent commitment, as emphasized by the command to stay married. Maintaining God at the center of a marriage is important for its success and longevity.
This document discusses marriage as a covenant relationship rather than a consumer relationship based on feelings. It notes that people change over time, so there is no perfectly compatible "right person" to marry. Instead, marriage requires loving your spouse through your actions, such as serving them and meeting their primary emotional needs, rather than just relying on feelings. This builds feelings of love over time through living for your spouse's benefit as Christ did for us.
This document summarizes key points from 2 Peter 1:1-11 about responding to God's promises. It discusses how:
God has given us everything we need through His power to live godly lives and receive great promises. These promises allow us to share in God's divine nature. We are called to make every effort to respond to God's promises through faith and growing in excellence, knowledge, self-control, godliness, love and more. Responding to God's promises leads to hope, growth, and being chosen for God's eternal kingdom.
The document discusses the concept of honoring marriage from a biblical perspective. It provides several bible verses that discuss marriage being held in honor and defines honor as meaning precious. It emphasizes that marriage was God's design and exists to display God and his relationship with the church. The document then outlines principles for how husbands and wives should honor one another, including being close, open, understanding, peacemaking, loyal, and esteeming for wives, and conquest, hierarchy, authority, insight, relationship and sexuality for husbands.
This document discusses how marriage was designed by God to reflect the spiritual union between Christ and the church. It argues that Adam and Eve were not ashamed in their nakedness because of the foundation of covenant love between them and God. However, when they broke this covenant by eating the forbidden fruit, the foundation collapsed and they became vulnerable to shame. Their effort to clothe themselves with fig leaves was an act of hypocrisy, while God's provision of animal skins pointed to his future work to solve humanity's shame through Christ. Marriage is meant to display this new covenant through Christ leaving his Father to be united with his bride, the church.

This document discusses biblical principles of giving, including that giving is frequently discussed in the Bible, giving makes people happier, and giving is essential to salvation. It argues that a Christian who claims to love God but does not give scripturally does not truly love God, since God showed his love for humanity through giving his son. The document encourages giving willingly and generously as a demonstration of love for God.
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

In our journey with God as a church family, what does a "covenant of belonging" look like? Senior Pastor Brent Lokker shares this message on our podcast: http://blazingfire.podbean.com/e/brent-lokker-covenant-relationships/
This document discusses the biblical view of marriage. It argues that marriage was instituted by God as a lifelong, monogamous relationship between one man and one woman. The document outlines God's original design and purpose for marriage according to scripture. It also acknowledges that marriage has been imperfect since the fall of man but that the church should still uphold God's standard while ministering to those in difficult situations.

3) The Bible provides guidance on maintaining a loving and respectful marriage, including the importance of friendship between spouses, as well as limits on unacceptable sexual practices like adultery. Sexuality

This document proposes algorithms using geometric functions like spirals and Lissajous curves to generate smoother trajectories for UAVs performing area coverage compared to the traditional lawnmower approach. The smoother trajectories are expected to reduce the time and energy required for area coverage by 22% and 30% respectively while still achieving at least 98% coverage. The algorithms will be implemented using ROS and experiments conducted in Gazebo simulation to evaluate the performance of the proposed methods versus the lawnmower approach.
The document outlines the topics to be covered in a presentation: the positive and negative aspects of physical activity, why employees are not engaging in it, solutions to convince directors to sign up employees for a company sports program, and the long-term solution. It then discusses making excuses, stress, and not seeing physical activity as beneficial as reasons why employees do not engage. Creating an inspirational workshop and health measurements at the office are proposed as short-term solutions, while a business operating plan is suggested as the long-term solution.

Intimacy in marriage is important as it develops love between partners, bonds their relationship, and gives satisfaction. The Song of Songs provides examples of intimacy through knowledge of each other, communication, and enjoyment of time together. Practically, intimacy involves commitment through good and bad, meeting each other's needs, encouragement, and actively working to please your spouse.

God created humans to be objects of God's love. When Adam and Eve fell, their relationships and humanity's purpose were corrupted. Restoration involves repairing damaged relationships from the fall and fulfilling the original three blessings of being fruitful, multiplying, and having dominion, through developing one's character and establishing godly families and societies. An example is how Sarah restored her position as Eve by resisting Pharaoh's advances and remaining faithful to Abraham.

The document discusses several topics related to marriage and family from a Christian perspective. It begins by summarizing a message from the Pope about marriage being a participation in Christ's mission to the Church. It then discusses the importance of mutual love and consent in marriage without limits or measurement. It notes that a Christian couple participates in the Church's mission by living for all people, not just themselves, and calls us to seriously accept this responsibility. The rest of the document provides advice on showing love to children, defining roles in marriage based on skills rather than stereotypes, and agreeing on the direction of the marriage. It wishes fathers a happy Father's Day and calls for prayers for deceased fathers.
This document outlines a 5-session adult Sunday school class on Christian stewardship. Session 4 focuses on effective stewardship within families and churches. It discusses the importance of the family as the oldest human institution and defending God's design of marriage. It also highlights how commitment to family and church strengthens society and provides video clips and discussion questions on these topics.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

6. Expectations of Marriage…
The Silent Killer
What did you really hope to get from marriage when you started out?
Many of our original expectations of marriage/spouse are/were external, because we were often
taught to look for what we wanted, but not taught what we needed.
False or unrealistic expectations of marriage, our spouses and our role probably singlehandedly kills
more marriages than anything else or at least needs to the things that bring about marital demise
Examples of Expectations (Did you talk about it?)
Loyalty & Commitment…how does that look
Family size…1 kid, 3 kids, no kids…
Bedroom activity…frequency…how…etc…
Household duties…roles and participation
Financial stability…definition, price and cost
7. Better Days Delayed…Is That Train
Ever Coming? I’m Tired of Waiting!
Better Days in marriage seem to be delayed for many
and the reasons are numerous. Everyone is looking for a
solution, but the truth is there is no silver bullet.
Regaining better days is like rebuilding bad credit…it
didn't get there overnight and it's not going to get better
overnight…It will take time, diligence and investment.
The delay of Better Days should not mean the end of
your marriage, but rather an indicator that something
needs to be addressed.
8. How do we get to our Better Days
and what should I do while I wait?
Identify the location of your marriage
