NursingMajor; fromhere I knewIwanted to be inthe medical field.Ihave ahuge heart forchildren
withspecial needs. Ihave since decidedonanExercise Science Majorwithsightssetongraduate school
to become an Occupational Therapist.Iamso excitedtoexplore thisprofessionandmake alivingwitha
populationthatIhave such a passionfor.
Whetherat home,workingorgoingto school,Ialwayswantto make and leave apositive impact
whereverIgo.As I thinkaboutbeinganOccupational Therapist,Iwanttocontribute toan environment
that valuesexcellence andquality. Tobe trustedandrespected byyourpatientsandcolleagues are two

Significance
As a healthcare professional,itmightbe seenassignificant tohelpasick personinneed,butwe often
do notthinkof our significance fromthe otherside;patientsandtheirfamilymembersare usuallyvery
thankful forthe helpthattheycannot dothemselves.We mustfeel appreciatedandalsoappreciate that
we are giventhe patience andskillstoperformthe taskswe needtoinorder to helppeople.
Collectively,we knowthatextensive practice,educationandresearchare essential toexcel inthis
professionoranyfieldof workforthat matter. Individually,we candecide whatthingsare more
significanttous.Seeingchildrensmile makesme smile andhelpsme getthroughmydaythat much

say more abouta personthananythingelse.These twocharacteristicsare admirable because theyare
