2. Type of documentary: mixed documentary, factual, voice of god
Themes: lots of different episodes
Narrative structure: starts off with a dramatic scene of the brit awards
then moves into a scene on meatloaf.
Building up to chorus they interviewed people in betting shop and out in
town adds to the variety of the documentary. Conflict begins in the
documentary wit the brit awards and the grammy’s to heighten the
tension and make it more exciting to watch.
3. Camera work:
At the beginning the camera work is mostly hand held and really shakey, also
it films somebody filming, which may be to make us feel like we are really
there with them. Throughout the documentary there are cut away shots
which are a mixture of still and moving. Also use a mixed variety of camera
shots.
Mise en scene
Formal interviews with music produces in front of green screens, shows
different angles of people faces whilst they’re being interviewed
Sound:
There is just a voice over for most of the documentary, different voiceovers
depending on interview.
4. Editing:
Montage shots of the making/ final video
More conflict between the head of virgin records and meatloaf
Montage shots of lots of news papers piled on top of each other.
