The document discusses six categories of God's subjects:
1. The Elect Bride, also known as the Wise Virgins, who were chosen before the foundation of the world and will be with Christ in His throne of judgment.
2. The Foolish Virgins whose names are also in the Book of Life and will come up in the second resurrection, including those who die for their faith but were not born again.
3. Borderline Believers like those in Israel coming out of Egypt whose names may be blotted out of the Book of Life for failing to obey God.
4. The Reprobates whose names were never written in the Book of Life and were ordained for
God has established delegated authority in several spheres including the family, church, and government. In the family, the father has authority as head of the household and husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Wives are to submit to their husbands and children are to obey their parents. In the church, Christ is the head and he has established leaders with authority such as pastors, evangelists, and teachers. Believers are to submit to these God-appointed authorities and the local church is to have sovereignty over its own affairs.
This document provides summaries of several Bible passages about the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. It discusses their purpose of perfecting saints, doing the work of ministry, and building up the body of Christ. It also defines the roles of each position, with apostles being missionaries who set things in order, and prophets being people who receive the word of God and foresee future events. The overall message is about the importance of these ministries in preaching the gospel and bringing people to unity in faith.

This document provides a summary of key biblical prophecies and doctrines from a sermon by Bro. Jimmy S. Garin. It discusses the importance of revelation to believers, explaining concepts like the seven seals and seven thunders from the book of Revelation. Several Bible passages are examined, highlighting prophecies about Israel, the end times, God's sovereignty, election, and the mystery of the gospel. In conclusion, it suggests we may be living in the time period described by the opening of the seven seals and reveals the mysteries contained within.
This document provides an overview and analysis of Ephesians 5:1-14. It begins by explaining that Paul wrote Ephesians to describe how Jews and Gentiles are now united as one body in Christ. The passage encourages Christians to imitate God by walking in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for our sins. It warns that those engaging in immoral, impure or greedy behaviors are not walking as children of light and will not inherit the kingdom of God. Finally, it contrasts the Christian life of light with the darkness of those still disobedient to God.
God requires forgiveness from His people when they sin. Through the prophet Hosea, God illustrates His forgiveness by having Hosea take back his adulterous wife. Likewise, God will take back His adulterous people Israel if they repent. In the new covenant under Christ, forgiveness of sins is complete for Christians and they are commanded to freely forgive others just as God forgives them through Christ.

1) Philip is instructed by an angel to go to a desert road where he encounters an Ethiopian eunuch reading Isaiah.
2) Philip joins the eunuch in his chariot and explains the passage, telling him about Jesus.
3) The eunuch asks to be baptized after believing, and Philip baptizes him before being transported elsewhere by the Spirit, leaving the eunuch rejoicing.
John the Baptist told people they must bring forth fruits worthy of repentance by changing their conduct. True repentance requires more than just saying you follow Abraham; it means turning from sinful deeds and doing works that show obedience to God. The Bible lists sins like drunkenness, stealing, lying and sexual immorality that must be repented of through a change in behavior, which could require giving up stolen goods, separating from unlawful relationships, or avoiding situations that promote sin. Jesus warned that failure to repent will lead to spiritual death, so self-examination is needed to prove one's repentance is genuine.
The sermon discusses learning to avoid the snare of the devil through adultery and lustful thoughts. It outlines three goals: 1) To be alerted to the devil's snares. 2) To learn how to overcome the devil's snares. 3) To learn from others' mistakes and successes in dealing with the devil's snares. The sermon provides biblical examples of people who struggled or overcame temptation, like Job, Samson, and discusses applying spiritual armor from Ephesians to resist the devil.
The document discusses Christians shining as lights in a dark world by living morally pure lives according to God's word. It outlines how the world is sinful and falling away from God. But Christians can overcome this by walking in love, wisdom, and unity; focusing on spiritual things and having the mind of Christ. They can shine individually by their morality, language, and attitudes, and collectively by working together in the church. The goal is for non-Christians to see good works and glorify God.
This document summarizes a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on May 1, 2016. The sermon discusses the passage from Acts 8:26-39 where Philip encounters an Ethiopian eunuch and explains the gospel to him, leading to the eunuch's baptism. The sermon uses this story to discuss how Christians should regularly testify about their faith, proclaim God's word, and share the gospel with others. It also examines symbols of the Holy Spirit like tongues, fire, and wind that point to His work of revelation, purification, and sovereignty.
We are all subject to emotions or feelings. Allowing our emotions or our feelings to guide us in religion can result in serious eternal consequences contrary to what our feelings intended. God gives us guidance in the Bible concerning the right place for our feelings in serving Him. This lesson deals with Emotion in Religion
This passage discusses a case of immorality among the Corinthians that was commonly known, involving a man having a sexual relationship with his father's wife. Paul says he has already judged this situation, though absent, and has decided to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved. The passage discusses excommunicating unrepentant sinning Christians from the local church, with the goal of bringing about repentance to save both flesh and spirit.

The document discusses various teachings of Jesus that some considered "hard sayings" because they were difficult to accept or obey. It provides context and commentary for passages where Jesus' disciples, or others, struggled with His words. The document suggests that when physical interests outweigh spiritual priorities, the Lord's teachings seem harsh. It examines sayings around marriage, family relationships, the exclusivity of Christ, and the need to glorify God with one's body and spirit. Ultimately it questions whether any saying of Jesus should prevent obedience, given what He sacrificed to save humanity.
Paul states the following in Rom 1:18-20 18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: "..KJV
He points to the things that are made, God's physical creation as containing the evidence for His power and Godhead and states that ungodly men are without excuse when they deny Him. This PowerPoint examines the fact that God provided patterns to be followed that evidences his intelligent design that is to be followed.
Christian encounters two travelers on the King's Highway named Formalist and Hypocrisy. They claim to be pilgrims but Christian is skeptical. He learns they came from the Land of Vainglory and joined the pilgrimage for praise and appearances rather than true faith. Christian warns them that outward rituals and long tradition do not establish truth or guarantee salvation, which only comes through repentance and faith in Christ.
1. Jesus taught the Parable of the Sower to illustrate how people respond differently to God's word depending on the condition of their hearts. In the parable, seed represents God's word and soil represents the human heart.
2. The parable describes four types of soil - the path, rocky ground, among thorns, and good soil. Only the good soil, representing those who accept God's word with an open heart, bears fruit.
3. Jesus explained that the cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches can choke God's word in believers' hearts, making them unfruitful, like the thorny soil. To bear fruit, believers must let God's Spirit guide them
Christian encounters three men - Simple, Sloth, and Presumption - who represent spiritual dangers after conversion. Simple lacks wisdom and is easily led astray. Sloth is physically and spiritually lazy. Presumption is arrogantly self-reliant rather than dependent on God. Christian tries to warn them but they refuse his counsel, preferring to sleep rather than remain spiritually vigilant.
The church in Pergamum was commended for holding fast to Christ's name even when one of their members, Antipas, was martyred for his faith. However, some in the church had embraced the teachings of Balaam, who led Israel into idolatry and sexual immorality, and the teachings of the Nicolaitans, who encouraged the same. The church was warned to repent or face judgment from Christ with his sharp, two-edged sword.
The document discusses the differences between humans and animals, specifically focusing on the spiritual nature of humans. It argues that humans have both a fleshly nature and a spiritual nature, and that being "born again" through faith in Jesus Christ means one's spiritual nature is awakened. However, the fleshly and spiritual natures are in conflict with one another. The document encourages nurturing one's spiritual nature by focusing on spiritual things, prayer, and obedience to God in order to overcome the desires of the flesh.
Genesis 3 describes humanity's fall from grace in the Garden of Eden through Satan's temptation of Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. God punishes humanity for their disobedience by cursing the ground and instituting physical death. He also curses Satan, promising future conflict between Satan's seed and the woman's seed that will result in Christ defeating Satan. The chapter establishes the fundamental problem of sin and separation from God in humanity and sets the stage for God's plan of salvation through Christ.
Genesis 3 describes humanity's fall from grace in the Garden of Eden. Satan, disguised as a serpent, tempts Eve to eat fruit from the forbidden tree by sowing seeds of doubt in God's word. Eve then gives the fruit to Adam, and they immediately realize they are naked and ashamed. God questions Adam and Eve about their actions, but they blame each other and the serpent. God curses the serpent and prophecies that Eve's offspring (Jesus Christ) will one day defeat Satan. Their disobedience separates them from God and introduces sin, fear, and shame into the world.

The document emphasizes that Jesus was born to save humanity through his death and resurrection, not just by being born.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

5. Mark 3:1, A Synagogue?
• Mark 3:1 He entered again into a synagogue; and
a man was there whose hand was withered.
• Luke 7:1 …He went to Capernaum. 2 And a certain
centurion's slave, who was highly regarded by
him, was sick and about to die. 3 And when he
heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders
asking Him to come and save the life of his slave.
4 And when they had come to Jesus, they
earnestly entreated Him, saying, "He is worthy for
You to grant this to him; 5 for he loves our nation,
and it was he who built us our synagogue."
6. Mark 3:2, Jesus Confronts
• Mark 3:2 And they were watching Him to see if
He would heal him on the Sabbath, in order that
they might accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man
with the withered hand, "Rise and come
forward!" 4 And He said to them, "Is it lawful on
the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save a
life or to kill?" But they kept silent.
• Mark 2:27 Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was
made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
• This is no “mamby pamby” Jesus!
• He gets right in their faces, confrontationally.
7. Mark 3:5,
Stubborn Unrepentant Hearts
• Mark 3:5 After looking around at them with anger…
• You never see Jesus angry at the poor sinners, only at
the “religious” leaders. Not even with tax men,
prostitutes, adulterers, only false teachers who lead
people into hell.
• Matthew 23:15 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land
to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you
make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
• I wonder how angry He is now, with all the false
religions, cults, and false teachers?
8. Mark 3:5,
Stubborn Unrepentant Hearts
• Mark 3:5 After looking around at them with anger, grieved
at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, "Stretch out
your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was
restored.
• Why would Jesus look with anger?
• This “hardness of heart” issue is not
evidential, logical, rational, or even emotional, but a
“willer” problem.
• Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and
unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in
the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God,
• Ephesians 4:18 …because of the hardness of their heart;
9. Stubborn Unrepentant Hearts Are
A “Love” Problem
• John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the
Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world
should be saved through Him. 18 "He who believes in Him is
not judged; he who does not believe has been judged
already, because he has not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God. 19 "And this is the judgment, that
the light is come into the world, and men loved the
darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. 20
"For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not
come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 "But
he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his
deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
10. Mark 3:5,
Stubborn Unrepentant Hearts
• Dr. Henry Morris in Many Infallible Proofs, says, “No matter what
evidence is presented for the existence of God, it is always possible
for the unbeliever to counter with some objection or with another
question. No argument or combination of arguments can ever
convince someone who does not want to submit to God. Even if he
is completely overpowered and silenced by the arguments, he will
still be of an unbelieving heart, and this is what really counts. "A
man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."
• Nevertheless, the evidence is there! For a person who sincerely
desires the truth and is willing to believe, there is an abundance of
proof concerning the fact of God and the character of God. The
evidence is such as either to completely satisfy an open mind and
heart or else to irrevocably condemn an unbelieving heart. For the
latter, the only acceptable evidence may prove to be the heavy
hand of God's chastening judgments, and even this may only
harden it yet more.
11. Mark 3:6, Destroy Him
• Mark 3:6 The Pharisees went out and
immediately began conspiring with the
Herodians against Him, as to how they might
destroy Him.
• They couldn’t defeat His logic, they couldn’t
defeat His Scriptures, and He confronts their
error,-solution, kill Him.
13. Mark 3:7, A Great Multitude [2X’s]
• Mark 3:7 And Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples;
and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and also from
Judea, 8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and
beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a
great multitude heard of all that He was doing and came to
Him.
• Matthew 4:13 and leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in
Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun
and Naphtali. 14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through
Isaiah the prophet, saying, 15 "The land of Zebulun and the
land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles-- 16 "The people who were sitting in
darkness saw a great light, And to those who were sitting in
the land and shadow of death, Upon them a light dawned."
14. Mark 3:7, A Great Multitude
Exodus 12:38, A Mixed Multitude
• Jesus is no small town preacher. And many
gentiles came to Him.
• Exodus 12:38 A mixed multitude also went up
with them, along with flocks and herds, a very
large number of livestock.
• <06154a>

16. Mark 3:10,
All Those Who Had Afflictions
• Mark 3:10 for He had healed many, with the result
that all those who had afflictions pressed around Him
in order to touch Him.
• How many do you think He healed? Talk about a
“healing ministry”!! Yet;
• John 6:66 As a result of this many of His disciples
withdrew, and were not walking with Him anymore. 67
Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You do not want to
go away also, do you?" 68 Simon Peter answered Him,
"Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal
life.
• Matthew 16:4 "An evil and adulterous generation seeks
after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the
sign of Jonah." And He left them and went away.
17. Mark 3:11, The Son Of God?
• Mark 3:11 Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they
would fall down before Him and shout, "You are the
Son of God!“
• Matthew 4:3 And the tempter came and said to Him,
"If You are the Son of God, command that these stones
become bread.“
• Mark 1:1 …the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
• Where are they getting this OT phrase?
• Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended into heaven and
descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has
established all the ends of the earth? What is His name
or His son's name? Surely you know!
18. Mark 3:11, The Son Of God?
• Psalm 2...Against the LORD and against His Anointed...5
Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify
them in His fury, saying, 6 "But as for Me, I have
installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain." 7 "I
will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to
Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 'Ask
of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your
inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your
possession. 9 'You shall break them with a rod of iron...
12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry,
and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be
kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!
20. Mark 3:13, He Called Them
• Mark 3:13 And He went up on the mountain
and summoned those whom He Himself
wanted, and they came to Him.
• summon, call to oneself, invite
21. Mark 3:14, He Appointed Twelve
• Mark 3:14 And He appointed twelve, so that
they would be with Him and that He could
send them out to preach,
• KJV Mark 3:14 And he ordained twelve…
• 4160 ποιέω poieo {poy-eh'-o}…
• Meaning: 1) to make…
22. Mark 3:15, Authority
• Mark 3:15 and to have authority to cast out
the demons.
• <1849> ἐξουςία exousia
• Meaning: power to act, authority….
• John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to
them He gave the right to become children of
God, even to those who believe in His name,
• Exact same word in both
23. Mark 3:16, “The Twelve”
• Mark 3:16 And He appointed the twelve: Simon (to
whom He gave the name Peter),
• Mark uses “the twelve” more than any other book.
• There is the definite article in “the twelve”
• CSB Mark 3:16 He appointed the Twelve:
• With the definite article I think the CSB got it right,
however the NET omitted the article
• The YLT NKJ KJV Mark 3:16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;
• The Bible Knowledge Commentary says, “The Twelve”
became an official designation or title for those
appointed by Jesus on this occasion (cf. 4:10; 6:7; 9:35;
10:32; 11:11; 14:10, 17, 20, 43)…

could not even eat a meal.

26. Mark 3:20, Couldn’t Even Eat,
He’s Nuts
• Mark 3:20 And He came home, and the multitude
gathered again, to such an extent that they could not
even eat a meal. 21 And when His own people heard of
this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they
were saying, "He has lost His senses.“
• KJV Mark 3:21…He is beside himself.
• 1839 ἐξίςτημι existemi {ex-is'-tay-mee}
• Meaning: 1) to throw out of position, displace …1c)
to be out of one's mind, besides one's self, insane…
• DLK adds, As when someone is talking to himself as
though he were standing beside him (nuts).
29. Mark 3:22, The Scribes Agree
• Mark 3:21 When His own people …were
saying, "He has lost His senses.“
• Mark 3:22 The scribes who came down from
Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by
Beelzebul," and "He casts out the demons by
the ruler of the demons.“
• Jesus doesn’t defend Himself, but rather goes
for their throat, exposing their failure in logic.
What they’re saying doesn’t even make sense.
30. Mark 3:22, Possessed By Beelzebul
• Mark 3:22 … possessed by Beelzebul," and "He casts
out the demons by the ruler of the demons."
• “The spelling “Beelzebub” came into English
translations from the Latin Vulgate which derived it
from the Hebrew “Baalzebub” meaning “Lord of the
flies,” the name of an ancient Canaanite deity (cf. 2
Kings 1:2).” The Bible Knowledge Commentary
• 954 Βεελζεβούλ Beelzeboul {beh-el-zeb-ool'}
• Meaning: Beelzebub = "lord of the house" 1) a name
of Satan, the prince of evil spirits…
31. Mark 3:23-27, Jesus About Satan
• Mark 3:23…He…began speaking to them…Satan…
• 24 …a kingdom …
• 25 …a house …
• 26 …if Satan …he is finished!
• 27 …the strong man's house and plunder his property
unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will
plunder his house.
• Jesus refers to him as a real, sentient being, with a
kingdom, the strong man's house, property, and he is not
finished yet.
• Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high
mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world
and their glory;
Luke 4:5 …in a moment of time.
32. Mark 3:23, Jesus Talks About
“The Ruler Of The Demons"
• Mark 3:23 And He called them to Himself and began
speaking to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out
Satan? [Satan used 2X’s]
• Some frequent questions about Satan; “Where does Satan
live, What does he look like? Does he live and rule in hell?
Does he have a red tail and horns? Should we be concerned
about him?
• Satan is the "god of this world" 2 Corinthians 4:4
• The "the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is
now working in the sons of disobedience" Ephesians 2:2
• So be careful how you speak of him, do not, Jude 1:8
“despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities” Jude 1:8-9
• He is the "accuser of our brethren," Revelation 12:10
33. Mark 3:23, Jesus Talks About
“The Ruler Of The Demons"
• He “had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect
in beauty” Ezekiel 28:12
• Isaiah 14:16 "Those who see you will gaze at you, They will
ponder over you, saying, 'Is this the man who made the
earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, Who made the world
like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not
allow his prisoners to go home?'
• His destiny is Matthew 25:41 " into the eternal fire which
has been prepared for the devil and his angels"
• He is a concern, 1 Peter 5:8 “Be of sober spirit, be on the
alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring
lion, seeking someone to devour.”
• But Jesus is greater, 1 John 4:4 “You are from God, little
children, and have overcome them; because greater is He
who is in you than he who is in the world.”
34.
35. Mark 3:28, Blaspheme Of The Holy
Ghost, Unforgivable Sin, Unpardonable
• Mark 3:28 "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven
the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;
29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin "-30 because they were saying, "He has an unclean
spirit.”
• Anyone who rejects the calling of the Holy Spirit, the
last time, cannot be saved.
• John 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father
who sent Me draws him….
• These Jewish leaders had been shown all the miracles,
deity claims of Jesus, fulfillment of all the prophecies,
and yet they rejected Jesus. Without Him, no salvation!
36. Mark 3:29, Eternal Sin hamartano
• <264> ἁμαρτάνω hamartano
• Meaning: to miss the mark, do wrong, sin
• Chuck Smith on Ephesians part one describes harmatia “to
miss the mark.” It was used in an Old English archery game
where the Englishman would try to shoot their arrows
through a steel ring and whoever lost had to buy the beer
and was known as “the sinner”.
• It didn't matter how sincere they were, how hard they
tried, well-intentioned or well-meaning, they still missed
the mark.
• James 2:10 , Romans 10:2 For I testify about them that they
have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.

God Can Use You In Spite Of Yourself
• Mark 3:17 and James, the son of Zebedee, and John the
brother of James (to them He gave the name Boanerges,
which means, "Sons of Thunder ");
• Would you hire them to represent your company?
• God’s Power Is Perfected In Weakness
• God used Peter in spite of his failings
• Paul said in, 2 Corinthians 12:9 And He has said to me, "My
grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in
weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about
my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in
me.
• So don’t look only at your strengths and weaknesses,
instead consider what God can do through you. Remember
Moses, Gideon, Peter, etc..
