• When one’s primary interest is the physical side of life, the Lord’s
words become “hard sayings”. Note what happens:
• 1 Cor 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is
written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
• 1 Cor 11:22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or
despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What
shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. KJV

• Eph 4:4-6 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called
in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in

• It is a hard saying to many that there are few who will be saved, that
there is only one body, one faith and one baptism.
• The body is the church per Col 1:24. There is only one.
• There is only one faith. It is the faith of Christ per Gal 2:16.
• There is only one baptism that washes away sins per Acts 22:16.

• It’s a hard saying to the 14,500,000 Jews that Christ is the only way
to the Father.
• And the rest of the numerous man-made religions/denominations,
it’s a hard saying that none are saved outside of Christ.
