Sweden's maritime spatial planning is overseen by the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management and involves three plans for different sea regions. The plans will be submitted for governmental decision in 2019 and are designed to facilitate cooperation among 9 neighboring countries and 65 municipalities. The planning process includes strategic environmental assessments and socio-economic analyses.
