Marina Mayoral is a 75-year-old Galician writer and retired professor from the University Complutense of Madrid. She has worked as co-director of collections for several publishing houses. Some of her notable books include "Who killed Inmaculada de Silva?" and "Sad weapons." She has received several awards for her writing including the Literary Scope in 1976 and the Gold Piggy Bank in 1982.
