Marina Lazhskaya – a Master of Sport of
International Level
 Marina began going in for skiing at the age of 4. It was in 1982.
 In 1989 she took part in her first ski regional team competition. She was 11 that time.
 In 1994 Marina took part in Russian ski championship as a member of our regional
team and won the 3-rd prize.
 In 1995 she became a Master of Sport and became a student of Ural polytechnic
University.
 In 1996 Marina took part in the Word junior ski championship and became a two –
times world champion in an individual event and in race. She also won three gold
medals in Russian Championship.
 In 1997 she took part in the Word junior championship in Canada where she was the
fourth in an individual race. That time Marina became a Master of Sport of
International level.
 In 1998 Marina took part in the World junior championship and won the second prize.
 In 1999 she became a member of national team of Russia.
 Marina took part in World Universiade in
Czechia and won one gold, one silver and
two bronze medals.
 In 2000 she won a bronze medal for ski
racing in Switzerland.
 In 2001 Marina won a silver medal for ski
racing in Finland. That year she took part
in World Universiade in Poland and won
a gold medal in a relay race.
