3. Evgenia Medvedeva was born on July 4,
1976 in Kondopoga, Karelia – my native town.
She graduated from the Kondopozhskaya sports
school N1, her first coach was Galina Mizerova.
In 1993 she entered the School of Olympic
Reserve in St. Petersburg, where her coach in
skiing was Nikolai Bondarev. In 1996 she won the
Junior World Championships in relay race. In
1998 she returned to Karelia, and then left for St.
Petersburg.

beginning of her sports career, Nikolai Bondarev,
died during a training camp, and it was a very
serious blow for her. "Both of my Olympic medals
in Turin I dedicate to Nikolai Vasilievich Evgenya Medvedeva said. - Without his coaching
efforts I would have never achieved my success.
It was he who invited me to St. Petersburg
School of Olympic Reserve, who invited me to the
national team. I am very sorry that he is not
currently next to me and I always remember
about him."
4. Medvedeva is a member of Petrozavodsk team and a
member of the Russian national team since 2000.

Her current coach is her husband - Alexei Medvedev,
