The At-risk Neighbourhood Initiative is a national program in Portugal coordinated by the State Department for Territory and Cities to intervene in vulnerable urban areas through integrated social and territorial projects. It aims to mobilize different actors and resources in an innovative and sustainable way. The initiative started as an experiment in three neighborhoods and involves seven ministries. It uses a participatory approach to develop action plans with local stakeholders and provide support. The goal is to effectively address residents' well-being by focusing interventions on specific places within each neighborhood.
