Within its range of ATEX power connectors and decontactor sockets, Marechal Electric offers Ex rated multipin connectors for use both on – and off-shore for power, signals and low-level data transmission applications. In common with all Marechal connectors, these multipins use contacts that are of the technically advanced silver-nickel butt contact type which maximise both current carrying capacity whilst resisting oxidisation.
The latest addition to this range is the versatile Marechal PNCX – a 440V max. 5 pin Zone2 compact connector. Current carrying range is from 4-20mA to 10A whilst its mechanical terminals accept conductors from 0,75mm2 to 2,5mm2. Supplied as a 5 pin connector it’s rated when connected to IP66/IP67 and IP68 (depth tested at 10 metres for 15 days). Good for use in Zones 2 (gas) and 22 (dust) the Marechal PNCX can be used for various applications including lighting. A locking ring prevents unwanted separation.

1000V a.c. / 1500V d.c. single pole, 6800A ‘e' increased safety Marechal SPeX plug and socket power connector enables the user to connect and disconnect heavy duty equipment simply and safely in hazardous area zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
Designed for use in hazardous areas the Marechal SPeX plug and socket assembly is ATEX 94/9/CE approved for zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust). Marechal SPeX offers automatic IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating as soon as the plug is inserted into the socket. Electromechanical interlocking is provided via a microswitch (which opens and closes all phases simultaneously) to protect the user and to prevent electrical destabilisation of equipment.
The Marechal casing is manufactured in glassfibre-reinforced polyester which affords excellent mechanical protection (IK08) and resistance to UV and chemical agents. Typical applications include mobile gensets, ship-to-shore supplies, mines, offshore platforms etc.
The incorrect mating of phases is mechanically impossible. Furthermore colour-coding enables a visual check.

Marechal DS2 decontactors (plugs and sockets) have been fitted to quay-side cranes at the Port of Liverpool, to replace out-dated hard-wired, ground-box connections. Marechal decontactors allow the port to improve electrical safety whilst integrating control and power in the same connector and minimising down-time and maintenance costs. With sealing to IP66/67, the Marechal decontactors provide a watertight and dust-tight connection, whilst the robust construction ensures an extended operational lifetime despite the heavy-duty operating environment and high levels of salt-water and spray.
The unique design of the Marechal DS2 plug and socket assembly includes safety features such as a quick-release button with an integral isolation switch, which makes it possible for the maintenance team to quickly and safely connect and disconnect power, even under load, and without the need for a qualified electrician. The LV electrical connection is watertight as soon as the Marechal plug is inserted into the socket and the socket-outlet is watertight when lid closed. Marechal DS decontactors are rated for currents up to 250A and are manufactured in metal casings, with silver-nickel butt contacts, enabling them to resist shocks up to IK09.

Reduce downtime - when Marechal connectors are used in lieu of hard-wiring, a fitter can replace a motor safely and efficiently. A blocked submersible pump can be up and running in a matter of minutes instead of hours and with just one person. Operating costs are reduced as re-wiring on site is no longer necessary with Marehcal connectors.

Marechal DS2 decontactors (plugs and sockets) have been fitted to quay-side cranes at the Port of Liverpool, to replace out-dated hard-wired, ground-box connections. Marechal decontactors allow the port to improve electrical safety whilst integrating control and power in the same connector and minimising down-time and maintenance costs. With sealing to IP66/67, the Marechal decontactors provide a watertight and dust-tight connection, whilst the robust construction ensures an extended operational lifetime despite the heavy-duty operating environment and high levels of salt-water and spray.
The unique design of the Marechal DS2 plug and socket assembly includes safety features such as a quick-release button with an integral isolation switch, which makes it possible for the maintenance team to quickly and safely connect and disconnect power, even under load, and without the need for a qualified electrician. The LV electrical connection is watertight as soon as the Marechal plug is inserted into the socket and the socket-outlet is watertight when lid closed. Marechal DS decontactors are rated for currents up to 250A and are manufactured in metal casings, with silver-nickel butt contacts, enabling them to resist shocks up to IK09.

Even in the event of a short-circuit, the Marechal connector guarantees user safety and eliminates any electrocution hazard.
Reduce downtime - when Marechal connectors are used in lieu of hard-wiring, a fitter can replace a motor safely and efficiently. A blocked submersible pump can be up and running in a matter of minutes instead of hours and with just one person. Operating costs are reduced as re-wiring on site is no longer necessary with Marehcal connectors.
Provides automatic IP66/67 watertight seal - the Marechal plug and socket is automatically watertight just by inserting the plug or by closing the socket lid when you remove the plug - there is no need to turn any sealing ring.

Marechal DB6 Disconnectable Motor Switches - 75 Amp, 15kW
The Marechal DB Decontactor for motors, pumps and highly inductive loads combines the functions of visible breaking motor switch and plug and socket outlet - Marechal decontactor plugs and socket units have a direct impact on safety, cost and machine downtime. Compliant with the machine Directive for power supply isolation allowing quick electrical equipment replacement.
Marechal DB6 typical applications - mobile motors, emergency installations, flexible production lines, testing benches for motors, fans, mobile conveyors, mixers and containers.
Operation of a Marechal Decontactor for Motors
The Marechal plug is positioned in the socket-outlet by pushing then twisting clockwise in much the same way as inserting an electric light bulb. The Marechal plug is then in the rest position, circuit open - this is indicated by a "green" window located on the front of the Marechal socket-outlet. At this stage, the plug can be locked onto the socket-outlet by means of a conventional lock-out. To close the electrical circuit, push the Marechal plug fully home, until it is held by the locking ring. The window located on the front of the socket-outlet becomes "red". IP67 is achieved by turning the ring clockwise. To release the Marechal plug, simply turn the ring fully anticlockwise. The circuit is opened and the plug returns to its parked position. To remove the plug from the socket-outlet, turn the plug from right to left. The lid can then be closed. Turn the ring from left to right to achieve IP67 socket-outlet watertightness.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex Proofs
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
