Representative assignments include:
Senior Lead Piping Designer, worked on multiple “end of life” vessel replacement
projects. Each project involved site visits, estimates, field surveying, coordinating design
with multiple trades including rigging. New reactors were not like for like. I was
responsible for all modeling and package completion.

Senior Lead Piping Designer, managed the completion of a fast track, 30M Emulsion
Project. Activities included estimating manpower, developing a process layout that fit into
40 percent less floor space, while maintaining adequate operability and leading a crew of
eight designers to complete the task.

Emulsion Project, Activities included estimating manpower, developing building layout,

Construction Manager/Senior Piping Designer, Rohm and Haas, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Completed multiple mechanical designs for shutdown upgrades.
Designed and construction managed various systems which involved taking a process
engineer’s idea, visualizing the job, estimating, design and construction managing
through start-up. Jobs were completed with zero rework.
Construction Manager/Senior Piping Designer, Electronic Materials Plant, Rohm and
Haas, Newark, Delaware. Designed and construction managed the installation of a new
proprietary process for the facility. Managed a crew of 20 riggers/pipe
fitters/welders/electricians through the completion of the project and to the satisfaction of
the client. Also, while on site, solely designed piping associated with installation of a
vertical heat exchanger in an existing five-story DMF distillation column rack system.
Developed a rigging plan to install a 14’, 1-ton exchanger
Construction Manager/Senior Piping Designer, Rohm and Haas, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Directed all day-to-day activities of contract pipe fitters, for capital and
maintenance projects including estimating, design, and construction management of
jobs. For example, completed a herbicide process expansion project; participated as
part of a small-integrated team environment on a fast track project; worked directly with
process, instrument and electrical engineers as well as operators making upgrades to
retrofit an existing process with a second Hienkel Centrifuge, which included a detailed
rigging, plan; generated all required mechanical documents to support field construction,
including equipment layout modeled in PASCE, 100 Isometrics drawings, pipe support
details, estimates, scheduled tie-in’s, managed 2nd shift seven day construction. Design
effort lasted six weeks and paralleled field construction including five-day process shut
down. Project was completed three days ahead of schedule and 15% under budget.
Senior Piping Designer, Grass Root Biocides Plant, Rohm and Haas, Deer Park, Texas.
Responsible for several systems such as scrubbers, low-pressure steam, city water,
air/nitrogen each involving taking P&IDs from conceptual to finished design. Also sent to
construction site to aid in the design of the packaging area of the process. All layouts,
design, generation of detailed fabrication isometrics and plant review were accomplished
using PASCE 3-D modeling software.
Senior Piping Designer, Emulsion Projects (4), Rohm and Haas, Europe/Asia/South
America. Each involved all design phases from conceptual to finished design utilizing
PASCE 3-D modeling software.
Senior Piping Designer. Worked on multiple grass root pharmaceutical projects, which
included all facets for completing piping systems from conceptual to IFC drawings.
Senior Piping Designer. Worked on multiple modification and upgrading projects for
local hydrocarbon refineries. Responsible for tie-in locations (field walk downs), layout,
design, arrangements and isometrics for various piping systems Also responsible for

Senior Piping Designer, Re-powering Project, PSE&G, Ridgefield, New Jersey.
Completed this 2-year re-powering project, which was upgraded to a Cogeneration
Plant. Responsibilities included layout and design of all major steam piping, large and
small bore, where flexibility had to be incorporated in all design. One-year site
assignment for construction support, where responsibilities included quick design
resolutions of interferences. Modeling of existing interferences, new routings, and
generation of piping isometrics was completed using Calma PDS.
Piping Designer. Established and supervised CAD Core Group. Position included
manpower forecasting and interaction with all disciplines to coordinate CAD work. Also,
development of symbol libraries, customizing menus, and support of all third parties
piping applications software. Also performed 2-D and 3-D CAD demonstrations for
clients. Once support staff was established, responsibilities shifted to piping design (as
described above).
