How did my idea start?

I read an article, which was about that how
girls as young as 13 were able to purchase the
morning after pill without parental consent.
What factors changed my idea?

• Teacher and student feedback said this idea
was interesting and very age appropriate.
They had also said that it was very topical
because teenage pregnancy and morning after
pill topics have been circulating around the
  news lately.
What factors changed my idea?

• Teacher feedback said that I wouldn’t really be
able to do a lot with this idea as there isn’t
really going to be an outcome to my research.
that my idea wasn’t anything new as there has
been many documentaries around the same
  topic.
Stage 2: How was my idea
              developed?
I developed my idea by changing my idea
completely, as I am now doing something
completely different. My documentary now is
going to be about Marijuana. This idea started
after I read an article called ‘Cannabis more
damaging to under 18s, studies suggest’
What factors shaped my idea?

• A factor that shaped my idea is that from all
the documentaries that I had watched
regarding drugs where all targeted at adults
and only showed the effects it had on adults.
• From this I decided that my documentary
would be targeted and presented by
  teenagers.
What factors shaped my idea?

• Another factor that shaped my idea is that from
all those documentaries that I had watched it
only looked at the drugs in a negative way, this
helped me to decide that my documentary
wouldn’t be a negative documentary. My
documentary isn’t going to be biased.
• From looking at audience feedback they said that
because my documentary is a for teenagers it will
be better and easier to appeal to as the
presenter/voice over is going to be done by a
  teenager.
Final Idea:
• My final idea is going to me ‘Weed: Is
Marijuana safe?’, this documentary is going to
  be a non-biased, investigatory
  documentary, investigating whether
Marijuana is in fact a safe drug to use. This is
going to be primarily targeted at 15-17 year
old boys. I will be interviewing people like
  Managers/employees of teenage alcohol/drug
support groups as my expert opinion. I am
also going to be interviewing the public for
their opinions on the matter also.
