Amongst the 62 million citizens that are currently living in the UK, it is said that 5,678,618 of them
regularly smoke marijuana, 55% of those users are under 18s.
Before age 18, even though the brain is still being organised and remodelled to become more
efficient, it may be more vulnerable to damage from drugs. Regular smokers who are under 18 are
at a higher risk as it lowers the IQ by 8 points.
I’m Oliver Scandrett and I will be investigating how people feel about the recent study which
suggests that Cannabis is more harmful to under 18s.

find out his views on the recent report that Cannabis has a damaging effect on under 18s.

There has recently been a study which displays the first convincing evidence that Cannabis has a
different effect on the younger brain than those of adults.
Recent findings of a long term study suggest that people who regularly use Cannabis in their youth
have effected memory, attention span and intelligence, what do you think about this?
