9. On Test
Day
1. Minimize
distractions as
much as possible.
2. Find a quiet
testing
environment.
3. Allow the
teacher/proctor to
open the session
first.
4. Log in at
test.mapnwea.org
5. Use Microsoft
Teams Chat to
communicate with
your teacher.
6. Follow any
additional
instructions from
the teacher/proctor.
Editor's Notes
Points to emphasis with students and parents:
o stress that this is a diagnostic assessment. It will not be graded or be used in any
derogatory way towards their child.
o students and parents must understand that the student has to get 50% of the items
WRONG for the test to stop, as adaptive test MAP will continue until it has reached
the child’s just right level. (Just right level is 50% right and 50% wrong).
o parents must understand that helping their child will actually hurt them in that the
teacher will assume they are ready for things they are not ready for.
o Students must understand that cheating is pointless.
