Handheld exist to support the Route Sales Representatives (RSR’s), all 18,000
RSR in the US and Canada. The RSR is the
Person who brings home the bacon for Frito-Lay. RSR works directly with the
customers, the stores and shops that sell chips to the customer. The Sales
Application in Handheld is a full feature application. It supports the RSR with
standard sales features like sales, return and manifest. It has inventory
management features, and daily reporting.
The Sales Application provides other features like reporting, task, messages,
calendars and e-time. To support Canada, the Sales Application now supports
French in addition to English. The sales applications connect to the Frito-Lay
network via Ethernet, Wireless, Modem and Cell phone.
• Responsibilities
 The Roles in this project is Primary Point of Contact (POC) for any data and
application related issues.
 Provide backline support, prepare resolution document, and perform root
cause analysis of the incident issues and provide solution for the issues related
to Handheld and the sales application which is used for the daily activities of
Sales Representatives.
 Preparing detailed test plans, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
 Ability to raise defects and collaborate with other member to solve the defect
 Creating weekly status report and submit that to client manager
 Initiate Bridge calls during priority issues and engage different groups in that
call. Provide root cause analysis and suggest permanent solutions to avoid the
issue to be happen again.
