The state has strong potential for border trade opportunities through Moreh town, which is India's only land route for trade with Myanmar and Southeast Asia. Manipur is also home to the Ema Bazaar, one of India's largest markets run exclusively by women. Due to its natural beauty and biodiversity, Manipur is a popular tourist destination known as the "Switzerland of the East".
