This document summarizes the kickoff meeting for a project to develop an expert system platform to manage agricultural knowledge through localized expert systems. The project will have foundational, pilot, and training phases. In the pilot phase, 3 expert systems will be developed along with training materials. Domain experts will receive hands-on training in developing knowledge bases. The goal is to identify a workable model for building efficient knowledge bases through expert systems to solve problems in specific agricultural domains.

by the community and facilitate the Access to

- The level of effort required for the Pilot phase is
from 10 to 15 days.
- The Domain Experts Hand on Training will be
from 9 to 20 December.
- An individual schedule will be planned for each
domain expert.
- Hand on Training will be conducted in groups
based on the knowledge domain.
