4. Title of Magazine
This music magazine uses
bright colours. This shows
that the music the magazine
advertises will be light
hearted. Possibly indie. This
magazine covers artists such
as Taylor Swift, Rihanna and
Katy Perry. This magazine is
targeted at young teenage
girls. With this cover you
can’t really see what the title
of the magazine is, which I
would want to avoid.

6. Comparisons
The difference between these two magazines
are easy to notice. The Kerrang magazine uses
dark colours and packs the cover with pictures
and text. I like the look of both magazine covers
because I am a fan of indie and rock music. If I
could have took pictures of a rock band I would
have styled it like a Kerrang magazine cover.
However, the use of light colours and one
picture does make the cover look clearer and
easier to read.

7. Ideas for your own magazine
For my magazine cover I want to use a prop.
Either a guitar or a microphone. I want the
title to look clear so I don’t want the artist to
cover over it, like it does with the Billboard
magazine example. I want it to have a colour
theme so that everything matches well and
look tidy. Having one artist will be easier to
capture. Having different photo shoots will
help add a different style in different
pictures. Having the artist playing the guitar
in one and posing with the guitar in another.
