This document provides details of the design process for a masala dosa folding machine. A morphological chart was created to develop concepts for the machine's functions of folding, pressing, filling and transporting dosas. Three concepts were created and evaluated based on criteria such as weight, dimensions, noise level, and cost. Concept 3 scored highest and was selected for further development. Analysis and testing was conducted to determine design parameters such as the angle of slip between materials. Components like a motor and gear system were selected to meet the torque and speed requirements for operating mechanisms. Food safety standards were considered and materials were selected accordingly.
