formal French terms
Work in pairs
You are calling a French speaking client on the phone
for the first time
 Prepare a basic French conversation with your client.
 Use proper greetings
 The conversation should be a professional meeting:
- Present your self, your company and your product
- 2 to 3 mins long
- Use online translation tools
 Learn and have fun!

 Times of day:
• 5pm = 17 heures
• 8 pm = 20 heures
Tips while calling a French speaking
prospect
 Use main French Business terms.
 Use general expressions and etymologies
related to his industry.
 Use expressions to ask the person to speak
slowly or to speak in English.
 Pronounce well to avoid misunderstandings
and misinterpretations.
