Passafire is a rock/reggae band formed in 2003 in Savannah, Georgia. They have released nine albums between 2006-2013. The band currently has four members and has had six total members throughout their career. Passafire maintains an active social media presence and tours frequently, gaining a dedicated fan following both online and at live shows. Their 2011 album Start from Scratch and 2013 album Vines both reached #1 on the Billboard reggae charts.

from the Savannah College of Art and
Design.
The Passafire has had six different members
a different including the four current member

seen fans pin Youtube videos in Pinterest to
listen to Passafire and spread the music

viral purposes of spreading the bands music.

their audience online and on tour.
 Fans have active conversations that I
have seen on music videos taking about
the band and what they think of the music
and the direction of the band album to
album.
 Passafire also regularly tours around the
US and part of Canada so there is a
demand for the their music.


Passafire has been busy since they started in
2003 and their first album releasing in 2006.
By my count they already have five albums,
two live albums, a remix version of their
album start from scratch “remix from
scratch” (available for free on Bandcamp) as
well some other remixes and piano rendit not
bad after having only been around for eleven
years or so ons of their songs.

reached number six on the Top Reggae
albums chart Billboard.
 Their Fifth album Vines debuted to the
Number one spot on the Top Reggae
albums chart Billboard.

I think it is important to note the live albums
and the remixes that Passafire makes.
I think the remixes, which some are free
downloads show that Passafire is open to
experimentation they are a rock reggae and
dub band after all shows a relation to remix
read write culture.
The live albums shows a sample of how
Passafire plays live very different than the
album recordings for of an experience that is
different then listening to the same recording
online versus in person.
