The paper discusses the design and simulation of single phase AC-DC converters with high frequency isolation, aimed at improving power quality by reducing harmonics in the input current. Various configurations of buck, boost, and buck-boost converters are described, including their classifications and operational mechanisms, as well as control methods to enhance performance. The study includes MATLAB simulations to validate the effectiveness of these converters in providing regulated and ripple-free DC outputs across varying AC main voltages and frequencies.
