This document outlines an assignment for a course on measurement principles for architectural elements. Students are asked to measure doors and windows at an existing condominium, office, serviced apartment, or residential property. They must prepare a site measurement report, taking-off lists using manual and BIM software methods, and a bill of quantities for the doors and windows. The assignment aims to develop students' knowledge of measuring various building elements and producing documentation according to the Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement. Assignment
In this project, a group of students will be required to prepare measurement and bill of quantities for doors
and windows for a condominium OR small office & home office OR serviced apartment OR residential
properties.
Students are required to find an existing condominium OR small office & home office OR serviced
apartment to collect data and information.
Students are requested to prepare a report and record the site measurement and dimension. Based on the
site measurement and dimension, students need to prepare taking off manual and BIM software for all

2. doors and windows for this condominium OR small office & home office OR serviced apartment OR
residential properties.
This assignment may help students to understand and practice more on the preparation of measurement
and bill of quantities.
All reports & Softcopy have to be submitted on 300pm on 5th December 2016 (Monday).
All measurement must be based on the ‘Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works –
Second Edition (SMM2)
